When a call sounds wrong: hang up first. Look at your Watch silently. Then call a number you already have. Do not speak today's four words into the live call.

• If the Watch is empty, open the iPhone app once after you create or join a house.
• If two phones show different words, they are not on the same house secret, or they used different house timezones. QR invites carry the timezone; the twelve backup words do not, so both phones must pick the same IANA zone when joining from paper.
• If an invite may have leaked - including a screenshot or photo of the invite QR or the twelve backup words - unpair or remove the Watch from the house if it is gone, then use Settings, rotate secret, and re-invite everyone.
